David W Lescheid, BSc, PhD, ND works as freelance Medical Writer and consultant providing scientific material and delivering lectures that help support patient care using Integrative medical principles. Dr. Alena Guggenheim attended Reed College in Portland, OR, and graduated with a BA in Biology in 2001. In 2007, she graduated from National College of Natural Medicine (now NUNM) with a Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine. In 2009, she completed a residency through NUNM and The Center For Natural Medicine; mentored by Dr. Martin Milner and focusing on cardiopulmonary medicine. During her education, Dr. Guggenheim participated in research regarding immune modulation with herbs and personality implications on health.

Dr. Ferris attended Davidson College in North Carolina where she obtained a BA in Cultural Anthropology and a minor in art history. Dr. LaDeana Jeane, ND, FABNO, is the founder of Nolia Naturopathic Medicine and a board-certified naturopathic oncologist with 14 years of experience in naturopathic oncology and cancer survivorship. Dr. Lara Williams, MD is a Board Certified OBGYN and Integrative Medicine physician, with a Master’s Degree in Integrative Health. Dr. Blum enjoys traditional archery, serves as an archery instructor, and has appeared on the History Channel’s series “Big History.” He is also a professional screenwriter, producer, and executive producer, and a member of SAG-AFTRA and ASCAP.
Dr. Blum received his B.S. in Biology from UCLA, attended two years at UCLA School of Dentistry before switching careers and earning a M.S. in Physics from California State University Northridge, and a Ph.D. in Biophysics from UC Berkeley.

From a young age, Dr. Tieraona Low Dog has been deeply drawn to the natural world and the field of natural medicine. Her academic journey encompasses a diverse range of disciplines including massage therapy, martial arts, midwifery, and herbal medicine, before going to earn her medical degree from the University of New Mexico School of Medicine.
Her career is characterized by her advocacy for health care that is not only compassionate and effective but also equitable and mindful of environmental sustainability. She is the Founding Director of the Medicine Lodge Academy, a school dedicated to the advancement of natural medicine through both online and in-person educational offerings offered for both clinicians and health enthusiasts alike.
As a pioneer in the field, Dr. Low Dog not only served as a founding member of the American Board of Physician Specialties' American Board of Integrative Medicine; but she was also among the first cohort of physicians to be board certified in this newly emerging field. Her leadership extends to her tenure as Director of the first Inter-professional Fellowship in Integrative Health and Medicine, Fellowship Director for the University of Arizona's Center for Integrative Medicine that was founded by Andrew Weil, MD, and Co-Founder and guiding teacher for the New York Zen Center’s Fellowship in Contemplative Medicine. She currently oversees the Fellowship of Integrative and Functional Medicine at the University of California-Irvine's Susan Samueli Integrative Health Institute.
Dr. Low Dog's dedication to public service is exemplified by her appointments to significant positions, including her service on the White House Commission for Complementary and Alternative Medicine Policy by President Bill Clinton and her advisory role at the NIH National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine, being appointed by HHS Secretary Thompson under President George W. Bush. Her leadership has been instrumental in her long-standing role (25 years) as Chair for various dietary supplements and botanicals expert panels at the United States Pharmacopeia.
Recognized as a foremost authority in integrative medicine, women’s health, dietary supplements, and herbal medicine, her scholarly work encompasses over 54 peer-reviewed scientific articles, 25 chapters in medical textbooks, and numerous authoritative books on health and medicine. Dr. Low Dog's global influence is highlighted by her participation in over 600 medical and scientific conferences worldwide.
Throughout her career, Dr. Low Dog has received numerous accolades in recognition of her work and contributions to the field of integrative and complementary medicine. These honors include being named an “Innovator in Complementary and Alternative Medicine” by Time magazine, alongside awards from NPR's The People’s Pharmacy, the New York Zen Center, and the American Herbal Products Association, among others. Michael McClung, MD, is the Founding Director of the Oregon Osteoporosis Center in Portland. He received his medical degree from The University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas. After his training in Internal Medicine at Parkland Hospital in Dallas, he completed a fellowship in Endocrinology at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland. He then joined the faculty at the Oregon Health and Science University in Portland, where he worked for many years. While there, he founded a clinic and research group devoted to the care and study of patients with disorders of bone and calcium metabolism, which is now known as the Oregon Osteoporosis Center. Dr. McClung is board-certified in Internal Medicine as well as Endocrinology and Metabolism and is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians and the American College of Endocrinologists. Dr. McClung has been involved in the planning, conduct, and presentation of many of the important clinical studies that resulted in the availability of the medications now used to treat osteoporosis. He has published numerous papers and book chapters and is coeditor of a book for clinicians about disorders of bone and mineral metabolism. Dr. McClung is widely known as an educator, translating clinical research information into practical strategies of evaluation and treatment for other physicians. He is an active member of multiple international societies focusing on bone diseases and their treatment. He serves on the Scientific Advisory Council of the National Osteoporosis Foundation and on the Committee of Scientific Advisors for the International Osteoporosis Foundation. He was also a member of the WHO Task Force on Fracture Risk Assessment and has been involved in the implementation of the WHO fracture risk calculator.

For almost three decades, Dr. Goldman has been a Clinical Professor in the department of OB/GYN at University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), where she is also the Director of the Gynecology Center for Cancer Survivors and At-Risk Women. In addition to her role as Midi Health’s Chief Clinical Officer, she is a nationally recognized expert in menopause care, with particular expertise in women with cancer or those at high risk.
She has helped author guidelines in these areas for the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ACOG). She also served on the inaugural National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN) Survivorship Panel and chaired the menopause and sexual health panels, helping develop evidence-based national guidelines for managing menopausal symptoms and sexual health concerns in cancer survivors. Throughout her career, Dr. Goldman has received numerous recognitions, including: San Francisco Magazine: Top Doctors (2015-2022), America's Top Doctors for Cancer (7th-10th Edition) and Exceptional Women In Medicine (2019-2021).

Dr. Lacy Campbell is a first-year resident physician at A Woman’s Time, where she brings a compassionate, evidence-based approach to primary care. A graduate of the National University of Natural Medicine (NUNM), she is passionate about helping individuals feel empowered and comfortable in their bodies through personalized, integrative care. Her clinical interests include IV therapy, preventive medicine, and supporting patients through all stages of life with thoughtful, science-backed solutions. Dr. Campbell believes that healing begins with listening, and she strives to create a safe, affirming space where patients feel truly seen and supported. Outside the clinic, she enjoys spending time with her family, trail running through Oregon’s scenic landscapes, and playing the bagpipes.

I obtained my B.Sc from University of British Columbia with a focus in Biology, Biochemistry, and Psychology. Here I was introduced to various aspects of health and became curious about finding a way to integrate them in achieving optimal health. I then completed my naturopathic medical training at the Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine in Vancouver. I was honoured and grateful to receive the Clinical Excellence Award upon graduation. Dr. Fitzgerald is actively engaged in clinical research on epigenetics and longevity using a diet and lifestyle intervention developed in her research and practice. Her first clinical study, which found potential bioage-reversing effects of an 8-week DNA methylation-supportive diet and lifestyle in middle-aged men, was published April 12, 2021 in the journal Aging. Now, her latest study, published March 22, 2023 also in the same journal, suggests that similar results are possible in middle-aged women.
With the Helfgott Research Institute, Dr. Fitzgerald is actively engaged in clinical research and peer-reviewed publication on the DNA methylome using targeted diet and lifestyle practices. She has published a consumer book titled Younger You as well as a companion cookbook, Better Broths and Healing Tonics and offers Younger You Programs, based on the study.
Kara Fitzgerald, ND, received her doctor of naturopathic medicine degree from the National University of Natural Medicine in Portland, Oregon. She completed the first Counsel on Naturopathic Medicine-accredited post-doctorate position in nutritional biochemistry and laboratory science at Metametrix Clinical Laboratory under the direction of Richard Lord, PhD. Her residency was completed at Progressive Medical Center, a large, integrative medical practice in Atlanta, Georgia.
Dr. Fitzgerald is the lead author and editor of Case Studies in Integrative and Functional Medicine and is a contributing author to Laboratory Evaluations for Integrative and Functional Medicine and the Institute for Functional Medicine (IFM)’s Textbook for Functional Medicine.
Dr. Fitzgerald is on the faculty at IFM, is an IFM Certified Practitioner, and lectures globally on functional medicine, longevity, and epigenetics to practitioners and consumers. She maintains an award-nominated podcast series, New Frontiers in Functional Medicine and an active blog on her website, www.drkarafitzgerald.com.
